I'd say it's nice to see you, but I hate to be perceived.

We don't own our media, our software or even our data.

Prices are climbing while quality is being stripped from products in the name of 'cost cutting'. Companies are laying off necessary workers and pricing us out of necessities. They're locking us into systems we can’t control and calling it convenience.

The billionaire class is pitting us against each other in the hopes that we never realise they are the ones we'd be better off without. They are the troublemakers – the harmful and unnecessary ones – not any of us.

I'm putting together a growing library of resources to help us live comfortably on our own terms.

The goal isn’t to promote a strict or restrictive lifestyle; it’s to equip people with the tools and information so you can choose what's best for you!

Here are some ideas of new skills you can learn:

• How to clean so you don't fall for the misleading marketing of cleaning products
• How to store food so you get more use out of the food you buy
• How to mend and care for clothing so you can keep using them longer
• How to repair and maintain furniture and technology
• What to do with old textiles so you can avoid buying things you don't need while also avoiding waste
• How to self-host your own network so you can control ads and protect your data
• How to care for yourself and others using both generic over-the-counter products and old-school herbalism
• How to access entertainment without paying for another subscription
• How to build a community so you can share your skills and rely on each other
• How to use a time bank so you can avoid needing money
• Finding open-source alternatives to subscription-based software
• Developing lateral thinking skills so you can find creative solutions to problems as they arise

If this feels like a lot, don't worry! It's not about doing everything; it's about having options. And you don't have to do everything - this is where building a community is helpful.
